All of our products are naturally carbon negative. But we also invest 5% of our revenue into regenerative projects working to improve our future on this planet. We call it our Impact Program, and people seem to be on board with it - like our partner Professor Mark Maslin, Head of Climatology at University College London.
Our sheep live in New Zealand’s High Country with loads of space to walk, run around, or debate the origins of pavlova. All our farms are part of the ZQ program, which means they enjoy the highest animal welfare standards worldwide.
While our sheep are living their best lives, they also play a key role in the Regenerative Farming movement. Sheep keep the farm’s soil healthy by closing the nutrient loop and reducing the need for fertilizers. Our farmers also implement rotational grazing techniques which ensure the grass is never overgrazed and provides living organisms a constant source of nutrition, prevents soil erosion, increases water infiltration rates, and store more carbon in the soil.
What kind of difference can a razor make?
A real difference. Not just the money it’ll save, the plastic it cuts out, but the act of investing in a quality product that will last.
Over 50,000 Leaf Shave users will keep 1.5 million disposable plastic razors out of landfills this year. We are incredibly proud of that.
What else can you expect from us? We package and ship 100% plastic-free. We measure, record, and aggressively offset the carbon footprint of our organization. And we financially support climate action non-profit work (The Adaptation Fund in 2019).
Tru Earth Eco-Strips are the smarter way to clean laundry. Each laundry strip packs ultra-concentrated, hypoallergenic, eco-friendly cleaning power into a tiny, pre-measured strip of liquidless laundry detergent that you just toss in the wash. Its low-sudsing formula works in all types of washing machines, including high-efficiency (HE).
The smart hypoallergenic laundry detergent formulation effectively seeks out and dislodges dirt molecules and stains, keeping them in suspension until they are rinsed away. It makes your laundry washing chore easier, healthier, more economical, and much kinder to our planet.
Clean, green, and simple!
The laundry detergent you use should be as sensitive to your skin as it is to the environment.
It is our mission to put your family first and that is why our eco-strips are hypoallergenic and paraben-free.
When you use Tru Earth Eco-Strips, you will feel confident that you are taking care of your family, and their future on this planet.
OUR MISSION
We are on a mission to create a better beeswax wrap that is better for you, your family, your food, and most importantly the planet. We want to make sustainability more attainable and achievable, through our fun and colorful single-use plastic alternatives.
SUSTAINABILITY, EDUCATION, COMMUNITY, IMPACT
OUR WRAPS
After many trials and errors creating and perfecting our beeswax wraps, we feel we have found the perfect recipe.
Made from 100% cotton, Vancouver Island sourced beeswax, pine tree resin, and jojoba oil, each wrap is handcrafted, folded, and packaged right here on the island. We are making durable, convenient, and fun wraps that will bring color to your kitchen and help reduce single-use plastic waste from entering landfills and oceans.
Why we love bamboo...
27,000 trees are cut down every day to make toilet paper, and they can’t even be recycled. We’re leaving the trees alone.
Bamboo can grow 3ft in just 24 hours...
In fact – it’s the fastest growing plant on the planet, it can be harvested once a year and doesn’t need to be replanted.
It uses 30% less water than hardwood trees...
Plus it gives out 35% more oxygen than trees, meaning an acre of bamboo can fix approximately 25 metric tons of atmospheric CO2 per year.
Soft and Strong
Bamboo fibers make a much softer paper product than many made from recycled paper and wood fiber. Also, because of its very unique composition, bamboo is naturally designed for strength. In fact, it has a higher tensile strength than many alloys of steel.
A good long life.
We design our bags to last because quality goods are more gentle on the planet. We combine tough materials and smart functions to ensure our products will be by your side for years to come.
Treading lighter.
A plastic bag was spared here, another was spared there. Over flip & tumble’s lifetime, we estimate that our bags have replaced around 19 million (and counting!) disposable plastic bags.
Produced ethically.
We’ve been working with our factory overseas for more than 8 years, and they’ve been a great partner for us. We routinely do third-party audits based on fair trade principles to ensure the workers are treated and paid fairly.
